About Me
Parents and guardians of DMCS students, thank you for visiting my page,
I am truly honored to work with the wonderful administration, teachers, staff, and especially- students at DMCS. Dixon Montessori Charter School is an amazing, unique place for children to grow and learn. Our school community is comprised of talented teachers and staff members, caring and supportive parents, and happy, respectful children who are eager to learn and explore new ideas every day. We work collaboratively to make sure that children grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
I am proud to say that this is my 12th year as an educator in Dixon. Prior to being at DMCS, I was a Social Science teacher (Psychology, AVID, A&D History, Civics and Econ) at Dixon High School for three years. Prior to being at Dixon High, I was a teacher at our local continuation school, Maine Prairie for six years. My first teaching job in Dixon was a roaming substitute, where I worked with all of the schools in Dixon. I have absolutely loved all ten years of teaching and my first year as an administrator.
My educational background. I attended Silveyville in the 1980’s under the late, great George Tognetti. I went on to graduate from Dixon High School, Solano Community College, the University of California, Davis, the Napa Valley College Criminal Justice Training Center, and Touro University. As a result, I have experienced the quality education that Dixon schools provide, and understand the skills and determination our kids need to be successful after graduation. This makes it even more important to me to provide our students with the exceptional educational opportunities I had, and they deserve.
I am absolutely thrilled to be serving Dixon Montessori as Dean of Students. It is my goal to always do what’s best for the children of our school and to support the students, teachers, and parents in any and every way that I can. Please contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I can be reached at school at (707) 678-8953 Extension 121 or by email at [email protected].
Best wishes for a respectful, responsible, and safe 2017!
Sincerely,
Ben Ernest
